Originally the DJ was someone who work at Radio Stations, spinning the platters for all to hear over the air waves.

In most cases he was a faceless voice to his fans.

You would be suprized how many midgets were radio DJ's in the 80's

Disk Jockey also took those records on location, whether it was a sock hop, a private party or a big Shindig.

DJ's can still do all of these things, yet much more.

DJ's can be an MC in clubs with drum and record scratching machines.

The DJ may still be the person who brings a truck load of CD's to your party.

In this generation most all DJ's are musicians...

this is a plus for club owners with large rooms.

DJ's now play some clubs that can house 2000 guests for that event.

I myself did a private club in DC that had 2300 guests that evening.

The most I ever had as a music artist was 3500 at the Civic Center.

Some DJ's take existing songs and Add or Subtrack different elements within the song, creating their own sound "Super Mix" adding their colors to the mix.

Sometimes when this is done the song is reborn and Re-Enters the charts.

What I find funny is that in most cases the song was a dead horse that laid at the bottom of the list due to bad timing of release.

I myself can take most any song and create a better sound.

Only God knows how many endless hours I have spent mixing tracks.

Some Rap artists have made number one hits from others mistakes.

I want a damn raise!
